1. Introduction
Auline ("we", "our" or "us") places great importance on protecting the privacy of its users ("you" or "user"). This
Privacy Policy describes the types of data we collect, how we use it, and the measures we take to ensure its
protection.
2. Data collected
2.1. No data collected by us
Voice It has no server of its own and no user account. We do not collect, receive or store any data about you: no
account, no email address, no identifier, no usage statistics, no analytics and no crash reports.
2.2. Audio recordings
Where your audio goes depends on the model you selected in the app, and on nothing else.

With a model running on your Mac (Parakeet or Nemotron, downloaded once and executed on the Neural Engine), the
audio is transcribed on the machine and never leaves it. No network request is made at all.

With a model from Mistral, OpenAI or ElevenLabs, the app sends your audio directly from your Mac to that
provider, using your own API key and under your own account with them. The audio never passes through any
server of ours, is processed for the transcription and is not retained by us at any point.
If you cancel a recording, the audio is discarded before being sent.
2.3. Your API keys
Each API key you add is stored in the macOS keychain on your Mac and is only ever sent to the provider it belongs
to. We never see it. If you only use models that run on your Mac, there is no key at all.
3. Data processing location
With a model running on your Mac, the processing happens on your Mac and nowhere else. With a remote model, the
processing happens on the infrastructure of the provider you chose, under their own privacy policy and their own
terms: Mistral AI is a French company processing in the European Union, while OpenAI and ElevenLabs are American
companies. The choice of provider is yours, and it is the choice of processing location.
4. Data sharing
The app sends your audio to the provider you selected, solely for the purpose of transcription, under your own
account with them. That provider processes it in accordance with its own privacy policy. No data is shared with us
or with any other third party.
5. Data security
All communications between the app and a provider's API are encrypted using TLS. Your API keys are kept in the
macOS keychain. Since we operate no server and hold no data about you, there is nothing on our side to breach.
6. Your rights
We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing on our side to access, rectify or erase. For the audio you
send to a provider under your own account, your rights are exercised directly with that provider. In accordance with GDPR,
those rights are:
- Right of access: You can request access to personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: You can request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure: You can request deletion of your personal data.

Right to restriction of processing: You can request limitation of data processing in certain circumstances.
- Right to object: You can object to the processing of your data for legitimate reasons.

7. Consent
By using the application, you consent to the processing of your audio as described in this Privacy Policy. You can
stop all processing at any time by removing your API keys, by switching to a model that runs on your Mac, or by
uninstalling the application.
8. Changes to the Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be published on this page with the
corresponding update date. We encourage you to regularly check this page to stay informed of any changes.
